The Hamilton Friendship Association with Cuba (HFAC) is pleased to again host the Caravan and calls on all friends of Cuba to join us in giving the Caravinistas a warm Steeltown welcome during our exciting program, Momentos de Amor - A Summer Evening of Film, Poetry & Music.

Evening Highlights

Momentos de Amor will feature excerpts from Moments with Fidel, Cuban director Rebeca Chávez’s exceptional documentary on the Cuban revolution and its leader. The film brings to life key moments in Cuban history with rare and inspiring archival footage. We will also be screening the rare Cuban film Condemn Me, It Does Not Matter

Local poets and artists will also be on hand to perform, and display original and classic works of art. Stay tuned for future updates!

About IFCO/Pastors for Peace Cuba Caravan

IFCO/Pastors for Peace Cuba Caravan is a project of the award-receiving Inter-religious Foundation for Community Organization (IFCO) that was launched in response to the 1988 civilian attack by contra forces in Nicaragua. The Pastors for Peace project aims to deliver material aid to support the victims of U.S. so-called "low intensity" warfare in Latin America and to initiate education and advocacy projects to campaign for a more just and moral U.S. foreign policy in our hemisphere. Each year the Cuba Caravan travels across Canada and the US collecting goods and donations to be delivered to Cuba in defiance of the blockade.  For Cuba, the Caravan is an important effort to end the U.S. blockade against the island, which causes shortages of food, medicine and other important supplies for eleven million people. It is an immoral policy that uses hunger and disease as political weapons. To make a donation to the Caravan, please contact us directly at info@cubacanda.org.
