Ray John Jr-Shield = this is a spirit empowering workshop. Where we re-learn how to respect ourselves and we look at how we see ourselves. When working on us we must start with the spirit because its the living force that keeps us in balance with life. The first session does that. The second session looks at how we can " let go " of things from the past. These sessions are intense because we are looking at ourselves. In order to help cleanse the earth, we must cleanse ourselves.

Sat 2-4:30pm These are two part workshops so you need to come at the beginning of the workshop.

I'm happy to organize a Cargo Bike Roll Call for Hamilton (Hamilton's first?) for the Fix Our World Festival. Anyone and everyone in Hamilton with a cargo bike, cargo trike or bicycle/trailer combination is invited to show up on Saturday or Sunday (day to be determined via poll) to meet, greet and share the wonderful utility of cargo bikes and biking. Those of us who have a cargo bike of some sort--bicycle trailer (kid trailer or cargo trailer), longtail, long john, bakfiets, newspaper/butcher/personal delivery bike, or cargo trike--know how wonderful these human-powered vehicles are. Let's meet one another and share our cargo bikes, stories, accomplishments, and dreams with each other and with other Hamiltonians. If we can inspire more people to add a cargo bike, trike or trailer to their lives, we can make a direct and significant impact on fossil fuel use, carbon emissions, safe streets (incl. congestion, parking, road wear, pedestrian & cycling infrastructure), as well as the health of ourselves and our communities.

Workshops by Michael Nabert- Environmentalist of the Year 2011 Michael Nabert is being recognized for his efforts and passion to raise the awareness of global environmental issues in our community. No other local environmentalist utilizes such a broad range of media. He writes, speaks publicly, sings, writes songs, illustrates and designs, creates educational comics, develops public theatre events, and uses Facebook to find ways to share environmental messages..

Sat Sept 15 and Sun Sept 16, starting at 1pm, Janet Mahony (www.mahonyenergytherapy.com) will gift Munay-Ki rites at the Fix Our World Festival. Please go to www.munay-ki.org for information and preparation to receive these sacred rites. Sun Sept 16, at 3pm and 7pm Janet will be offering Andean fire ceremony teachings, and on Sunday Sept 16 starting at 7:30pm Janet will lead a Andean sacred fire ceremony. All are welcome to receive rites and teaching, and to attend fire ceremony.

Joining the festival over the weekend is a transformative Healing Fair on Saturday, September 15th and Sunday, September 16th. This event closes with a Sacred Fire Ceremony led by Janet Mahony.
