We had a brilliant day finishing the cleanup of Cootes Drive Turtle Nesting Area yesterday both in terms of weather and the work we got done. 42 garbage bags. 1 tire, and 1 shopping cart and one very clean turtle habitat. Pyramid of Tires pulled out of Cootes and Grindstone
Hi All,
To promote our big clean up of Cootes on Sunday March 1st, we took all except 50 of the 250 tires that were pulled out of Cootes and Grindstone watersheds last year to make our own tire pyramid.
Barry Gray of the Spectator came down and shot this great video.

The Harper government’s budget was set to become law, after the Senate approved a second omnibus implementation bill on the last day of the 2012 parliamentary session.
By a vote of 50-27, the Senate passed the government’s second budget implementation bill Friday morning. The bill was then sent to the Governor General to be signed in to law. A royal assent ceremony was to take place soon thereafter.
